BUSA
BUSA is your student organisation. Our mission is to make student life
at Bond more rewarding, ranging from enhancing academic pursuits,
facilitating sporting involvement, and satisfying social necessities.
We are a voluntary, apolitical group of elected students here to
represent you. We’re here to tie it all together.
We offer a number of services, including:
-
Clubs, Societies and Association support. Bond’s cultural, sporting and special interest clubs offer a
wealth of opportunities to meet people who share common interests.
There are numerous active clubs on campus, ranging from political
parties and religious groups through to drama, debating and sporting
societies. BUSA works to provide administrative and financial
assistance to maintain the lifeblood of university culture.
-
Events. From ‘North v South’ rugby
games, to pub crawls and Thursday Nights at Don’s, BUSA
organises a plethora of events throughout the year. These events
keep Bondies together and target a number of groups within
Bond’s diverse student community.
-
Your voice on University issues. BUSA ensures Bond
students have an independent voice in the administration of the
University. The Association has a representative on the
University’s Academic Senate, which deals with academic policy
and discipline on campus, and regularly consults with the Registrar,
Deans, Vice-Chancellor and Chancellor to ensure students’
opinions are given due consideration in all matters.
-
Publications. Scope is the weekly newsletter
published by BUSA and is the most thorough and up-to-date source of
news, reviews and information for students. This newsletter is a
Bondie’s best friend and is available at Wednesday by the
Water every week.
-
External connections. BUSA works with a number of
external organisations to enhance the life of Bond students. This
includes accessing valuable discounts, free services and support,
and exclusive Bond student privileges.
The Bond University Student Association is here to help you make the
most of your time at Bond. We exist to provide services to SAM
members and the broader student community.
